4 FABULOUS DAYS of dog show excitement and family entertainment presented by Lorain County, Medina, and Richland County and Western Reserve Kennel Clubs
Daily - about 3500 dogs from around the United States and around the world will compete for Confirmation’s Best in Show in Confirmation; High in Trials in Obedience and Rally Obedience, and Top Dog in Agility at the annual Crown Classic Dog Shows.
“Meet the Breed,” Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 10 AM to 2PM. This is most popular event, where the whole family gets to meet and pet a variety of dogs. Dog owners are available to answer your questions and help you learn more about their breed. Purina Dog Food Company sponsors this event.
Each day is a new dog show with both owner handlers and professional handlers who vie for prizes, trophies and the honor of being the best. The winning confirmation dog from each breed will compete each afternoon for being 1st Best In Group. The 7 group winners will then compete for Best in Show honors.
On Thursday, there will also be Puppy Group Winners chosen and a Best in Show for Puppies.
Both Obedience and Rally Obedience dogs compete in following commands both on and off lead.
Rally Obedience combines obedience commands along with movement through a course of stations, , each of which requires the team, handler and dog, to perform a specific skill. This is a timed event.
The Agility competition has lots of fast action and requires dogs to quickly maneuver through a timed obstacle course of tunnels, weave poles, teeter-totters, jumps, and much, much more.
BROWSING THE UNIQUE SHOPPES: While at the show you can shop for that special pet gift and supplies at 100 retailers. Products range from art to clothing, jewelry and pet supplies. Dog Fanciers will love the unusual products and one of a-kind merchandise from retailers from around the country.
